No need to STRESS before a test!

This blog is for anyone that would like some tips in preparing for a test.  Everyone has their own way of preparing; the studiers, night before crammers, even morning of race to study before the test hits your desk.  I have found a certain method to work the best for me.  If you are having a hard time doing well on tests, I suggest you try my method.  What’s the worst that could happen?  In the end, you might be pleasantly surprised.  Just try! J

You know it’s coming (Jaws music plays)… What can you do to prepare effectively:
1.)  Take good notes in class and listen closely to your professor
2.)  Don’t wait till the last second to study; studying is a progressive process
3.)  If possible read ahead so you can ask your professor questions about concepts you don’t understand
4.)  PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE makes perfect!!! Not just in class, but also at home.
5.)  The night before an exam, get 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep

Today is test day and this is what you should do:
1.)  Make sure you eat food before taking your test… Fuel for your furnace!
2.)  Wear comfortable clothes
3.)  Bring two #2 pencils
4.)  Bring water in case you get thirsty
5.)  Pack your bag in accordance to the class; reading glasses, calculators, rulers, etc.

You’re in the room… You’re nervous… The test paper is in front of you:
1.)  Take a deep breath, do the questions you know, skip the ones you don’t and come back to them
2.)  Use your time wisely and pace yourself
3.)  Make sure you read what the question is asking you.  No silly mistakes!
4.)  If you really don’t know the answer, narrow it down to what you think the answer could be (based on what you know about the topic) and take an educated guess
5.)  If you have extra time review your answers and make sure you answered all of the questions
